klenua rename

Rename your app.
Everywhere it's referenced.

klenua rename updates your app's display name, bundle ID / application ID, and package name across Flutter, Android, and iOS/macOS projects — the same diff-style preview and automatic backup as build.

What it does

Built for the parts that are easy to get wrong

Detects your project automatically, the same way build does.
Same promise as build: a diff-style preview first, a backup before anything is written.
Updates every platform's identifier together, so they don't quietly drift out of sync.
Leaves anything it doesn't recognize untouched, rather than guessing at it.
Example

One change, every file

klenua rename — Preview
defaultConfig { applicationId "com.example.myapp" applicationId "com.example.newname"
description: A new Flutter project.name: myappname: newname
Safety model

It reads your files carefully, and never guesses

1
Reads structured fields, not text
Identifies known identifier fields inside your source files — it never does a global find-and-replace on a name or ID anywhere.
2
Builds the change in memory first
The exact replacement values are computed before anything touches disk, so you always see a diff-style preview to approve.
3
Backs up before writing
Every file about to change is saved to .klenuabuild-backup/ first — mirroring your project's paths — before a single byte is touched.
4
Only touches static values
Anything that isn't a plain, static identifier is left alone and flagged for manual review, never guessed at.

klenua rename is one of three tools in the same app. See the other two.
